We stock a quantity of original oil paintings of different genres, from artists throughout Europe and near Asia. Attempts to show these on the web are hampered by the limitations of digital imaging, and low transmission speeds. With the advent of ADSL we hope that we will be able to bring more realism to the images of the paintings but in the meantime, please regard the images as thumbnails only.
We also produce a quantity of commercial artwork in-house, including artwork for web sites. This includes photoshop images, animated gifs, flash and shockwave, and VRML. Here, in an attempt to show a fragment of our work, viewable for low bandwidth visitors, we have brought together a much reduced VRML that includes a small selection of our paintings. To view it you will have to download and install the CORTONA client.
This VRML takes a few seconds under ADSL but up to 6 minutes on V90 modems, but please give it a try. As a matter of interest, this scene is less than one quarter of a percent of the full VRML scene and the quality of the images has also been reduced to about 10% in order for it to be workable at low web speeds. We hope it gives you a taste for VRML and, maybe, an interest in our paintings.
Once you have installed the Cortona client, set the "Idle-time" anti-aliasing option to ON by checking the tick box and click here to load our VRML scene.
If you want a little extra ambient sound to go with the VRML, then make sure you have the shockwave player loaded then click here. The additional sounds will add about 15 seconds to your download time on a V90 modem. |
