HeartTrace is a combination of electronic stethoscope and analysis software running under Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000. The unit shown opposite is a replacement for a standard stethoscope. In addition, stereo an audio/ecg versions are available.

The heart beat is captured by the computer and displayed as either single or dual track (mono or stereo). The trace can be analysed or replayed at different speeds. The ability to slow down the sound can be particularly useful in the early diagnosis of paediatric heart murmur.

The form of the displayed trace is distinctive of the cardiac condition.

Normal Heart Trace

Mixed Mitral Valve Disease

Aortic Sclerosis

Another Tele-medicine application developed by Marchetti is a computerised Audiometer. The computer accurately generates a range of frequencies and amplitudes, providing the patient with the facility to directly register the detection of a sound and generate a standard audiogram.

A picture puzzle form is provided for paediatric hearing tests.
